Grateful and Thankful
This time of the year always makes me think of what I’m grateful for.
With all the negativity and turmoil in the world right now, it’s hard to keep focused on the good in the world. Besides family & friends who always keep us strong when we need a little push…we are totally grateful for our customers’. We are coming upon our 6 year anniversary at Pippy&Lily in Flushing, Queens.
The loyalty and support of the neighborhood has kept us going. As I reflect back to the beginning when we opened in October of 2012, I remember Superstorm Sandy barreling through our streets, knocking down trees and breaking our spirit. I thought we were never going to make it starting out with such as catastrophe. Thanksgiving wasn’t like every other year. It was sad, stressful, overwhelming and it was inevitable. The neighbors and customers rallied together and welcomed us even though they were in a state of flux. They were my strength and I hope we were theirs. Together we stayed positive and got through it somehow. Now, every Thanksgiving seems like a gift!
So, to say that I am grateful doesn’t seem appropriate or grand enough. This is the time to let everyone of our customers know how happy we are that we got to meet and bond with them in such a unique way.
Let this season and fun begin!
We are excited to tell you that among new products, we have a new service this year! We are introducing our Private Shopping Day. We are opening our doors very Monday in November to invite those who want a private holiday shopping experience. By appointment only, we will help you find the gifts on your holiday list, wrap and label them, and deliver them to you locally the following week. You can enjoy your holidays, stress free, avoiding lines, and save time knowing we will do the work for you.
